Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Idris Islamov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Häbib Äläkbärov, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. 11 minutes into the match, Häbib Äläkbärov notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bakı Dinamo's Idris Islamov. Idris Islamov was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 14th minute, Xalid Bändäliyev got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Aslan Malikov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Naftalan AŞ's supporters rose to their feet, but Aslan Malikov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Idris Islamov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute, Färid Cäfärli hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Naftalan AŞ booed when Bakı Dinamo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Yaqub Cäfärli didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Yähya Äzimbäyli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 31 minutes into the game, Aslan Malikov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Idris Islamov was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Häbib Äläkbärov's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Idris Islamov was relentless in the 37th minute of the game. With his leg Qurban Daşdämirov managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when Bakı Dinamo's Häzän Aşurov fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 40th match minute, Naftalan AŞ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xalid Bändäliyev to maneuver through the defense. Idris Islamov stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Aslan Malikov's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. 47 minutes into the game, Yaqub Cäfärli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bakı Dinamo's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Naftalan AŞ the free kick. In the 47th match minute, Bakı Dinamo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yaqub Cäfärli to maneuver through the defense.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Yähya Äzimbäyli was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Naftalan AŞ's goalkeeper Qurban Daşdämirov, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 53rd minute Yähya Äzimbäyli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Qurban Daşdämirov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Yähya Äzimbäyli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Qurban Daşdämirov came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Bakı Dinamo's Häzän Aşurov. But to his dismay, Häzän Aşurov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. Aslan Malikov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th match minute, Naftalan AŞ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xalid Bändäliyev to maneuver through the defense. Naftalan AŞ's Qurban Daşdämirov played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yähya Äzimbäyli in the 85th minute of play. In the 90thth minute of the game Häzän Aşurov who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Naftalan AŞ's Qurban Daşdämirov was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Häbib Äläkbärov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 96 minutes into the match, Färid Cäfärli had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Idris Islamov. Bakı Dinamo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Färid Cäfärli was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Naftalan AŞ had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
