GALATASARAY's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Qarabag CF the free kick. Surxay Näcäfov hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. In the 8th minute, Gäray Ibrahimov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mehralı Abişov showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Müşfiq Qäribov, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. Feruz Abbasäliyev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Älibaba Ähädli, who was totally free with the ball in the 10th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ağam Tähmäzov in the 31st minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Mehralı Abişov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gäray Ibrahimov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Feruz Abbasäliyev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Müşfiq Qäribov came up free with the goalie in the 42nd minute, the Qarabag CF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Müşfiq Qäribov couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 52 played minutes Qarabag CF got a freekick which was hit by Bent Raison. When Gäray Ibrahimov came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the GALATASARAY fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gäray Ibrahimov couldn't finish the play. 59 minutes into the match, Rüfät Abdulxaliqov notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Qarabag CF's Feruz Abbasäliyev. Feruz Abbasäliyev was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 63 minutes into the match, GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Mehralı Abişov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Bent Raison. In the 65th minute, Müşfiq Qäribov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. GALATASARAY's Babakişi Zeynälzadä quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Nasos Chomatas, made in the 70th minute of the game. 73 minutes into the match, Bent Raison dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Mehralı Abişov, 2-1. Müşfiq Qäribov kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. Gäray Ibrahimov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feruz Abbasäliyev having to interfere. Eşqin Ağacanov kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ağam Tähmäzov in the 85th minute of play forced GALATASARAY's goalkeeper Mehralı Abişov to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 87 minutes into the game, Bent Raison lined in a short shot 2-2 behind a frustrated Mehralı Abişov. Baba Bağiyev hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
