Fariz Baxşaliyev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Feruz Abbasäliyev having to interfere. 6 minutes into the match, Chinar Cebrayil FK's goal looked a bit too open when Müşfiq Qäribov came free, but Mämmädbağır Utandiyev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 7th play minute Bent Raison came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Mämmädbağır Utandiyev. 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Äşräf Qährämanov in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Feruz Abbasäliyev saved Qarabag CF from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Qarabag CF's Bakary Chêne got a free kick in the 19th minute. 24 minutes into the match, Qarabag CF's goal looked a bit too open when Cavidan Färhadov came free, but Feruz Abbasäliyev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ilkin Lätifov's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Mämmädbağır Utandiyev firmly grabbed it by the left post. Chinar Cebrayil FK's Barat Zabitov was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Feruz Abbasäliyev in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Bent Raison received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Mämmädbağır Utandiyev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mämmädbağır Utandiyev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ağam Tähmäzov, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 39 minutes into the match, Qarabag CF's goal looked a bit too open when Cavidan Färhadov came free, but Feruz Abbasäliyev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cavidan Färhadov sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cavidan Färhadov to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Cavidan Färhadov recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Feruz Abbasäliyev. Cavidan Färhadov showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ağam Tähmäzov in the 56th minute of play forced Chinar Cebrayil FK's goalkeeper Mämmädbağır Utandiyev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Äşräf Qährämanov came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Chinar Cebrayil FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Äşräf Qährämanov couldn't finish the play. Äliaslan Äsgärov charged in rather forcefully in the 65th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Äliaslan Äsgärov the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Äliaslan Äsgärov hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. In the 70th match minute, Qarabag CF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ilkin Lätifov to maneuver through the defense. Chinar Cebrayil FK's Äşräf Qährämanov got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 73rd minute, Cavidan Färhadov fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Mämmädbağır Utandiyev took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ağam Tähmäzov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 78th minute, Ağam Tähmäzov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Qarabag CF fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Bent Raison sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 84 minutes, Tofiq Cäfärli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chinar Cebrayil FK and the Qarabag CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 84 played minutes Chinar Cebrayil FK got a freekick which was hit by Tofiq Cäfärli.
