Sasan Zare scored 1-1 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Payam Babakan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The supporters of Sheerness City booed when Leyland FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Morteza Sohrabpour didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Shervin Eshkevari to make the kick off. 57 minutes into the match, Sheerness City's goal looked a bit too open when Iraj Hasheminejad came free, but Sasan Talebi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Sheerness City getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Mojtaba Ghaemi hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Iraj Hasheminejad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sasan Talebi was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. In the 64th minute, Sasan Zare got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sheerness City's Sasan Talebi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Shervin Eshkevari in the 69th minute of play. Kourosh Salehi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Payam Babakan having to interfere. Sasan Zare's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 86thth minute, Payam Babakan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Sheerness City's Sasan Zare got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 94th minute of the match Sheerness City got a corner. Leyland FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Javeed Tamadon ran over to the corner to take the kick. Javeed Tamadon made a great header on Sheerness City's corner, it was just that Leyland FC's Payam Babakan managed to reach the ball for a save. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
