In the 8th minute, Delawar Qamar made a precise shot to the right of Buster Hampshire. Rye AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Buster Hampshire made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nasir Abbas in the 13th minute of play. Bobby Dobson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Ansar Farasat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 21 minutes in the game, Nasir Abbas dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. When Darryl Fenwick came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Rye AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Darryl Fenwick couldn't finish the play. Delawar Qamar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Buster Hampshire tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Darryl Fenwick managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rye AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Darryl Fenwick was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ansar Farasat breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Buster Hampshire showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Delawar Qamar, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. Nasir Abbas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nasir Abbas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buster Hampshire having to interfere. In the 45th match minute, Rye AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luke Billington to maneuver through the defense.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nasir Abbas made a kick off. Nasir Abbas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Buster Hampshire having to interfere. With a little luck, Rye AFC's Buster Hampshire got control of the ball when Delawar Qamar tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 58th minute, Sonny Seagrave hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Bobby Dobson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Rye AFC fans' excitement grew in the 71st match minute when Rye AFC's Darryl Fenwick looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Delawar Qamar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Ansar Farasat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Darryl Fenwick, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. If Freddy Easton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ansar Farasat stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Darryl Fenwick's shot from short distance in the 90th minute. Bobby Dobson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal.
