Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Barry Golding made the kick off which started today's match. Nasir Abbas struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Oscar Chappell didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carterton. Delawar Qamar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Oscar Chappell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Barry Golding received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Ansar Farasat tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Carterton's Delawar Qamar sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Oscar Chappell narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Carterton's Ansar Farasat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Seth Gray in the 13th minute of play. If Delawar Qamar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ruben Beasley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nasir Abbas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Seth Gray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Delawar Qamar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The supporters of Golcar booed when Carterton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jawad Aafaq didn't get a good kick on the ball. Seth Gray could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 53rd minute of the match, but Ansar Farasat made a huge save. In the 53rd minute, Jawad Aafaq hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barry Golding scored 0-1 in the 54th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ansar Farasat, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 57th minute Nasir Abbas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Chappell saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delawar Qamar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 77th minute, Nasir Abbas made a precise shot to the right of Oscar Chappell. Golcar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Oscar Chappell came out of the goal in the 80th minute to try and stop a shot by Carterton's Nasir Abbas. But to his dismay, Nasir Abbas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Delawar Qamar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Golcar getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Mick Bullard hit a great ball. When Delawar Qamar came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Carterton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Delawar Qamar couldn't finish the play. Mick Bullard hit a great freekick 91 minutes into the match. Seth Gray fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ansar Farasat having to interfere. Carterton walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
