Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Oakengates's Abdullah Jamil started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 3rdth minute of the game Khalid Kaleem who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Kenilworth City's Trev Radcliffe was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Abdullah Jamil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trev Radcliffe having to interfere. In the 9th minute Khalid Kaleem shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trev Radcliffe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Abdullah Jamil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ronnie Buckley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Jahanzeb Danish tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With his leg Jahanzeb Danish managed to avoid a goal in the 16thth minute, when Kenilworth City's Tommy Worrall fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. When Abdullah Jamil got free in front of the goal in the 18th minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Trev Radcliffe was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Daud Kashif's late challenge caught a Kenilworth City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daud Kashif helped the player get up and apologised. After 21 played minutes Oakengates got a freekick which was hit by Daud Kashif. In the 25th minute, Khalid Kaleem ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Trev Radcliffe was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdullah Jamil in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trev Radcliffe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Khalid Kaleem in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Trev Radcliffe saved Kenilworth City from getting behind. 32 minutes into the game, Ronnie Buckley recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Jahanzeb Danish. Ronnie Buckley showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Trev Radcliffe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdullah Jamil in the 36th minute of play. A collision led to Kenilworth City getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Samuel Griffiths hit a great ball. After 41 played minutes, Oakengates's Aslam Shamshad shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Trev Radcliffe came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Oakengates reached it. In the 43rd minute Abdullah Jamil shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Trev Radcliffe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 43 minutes into the game, Stu Bowen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kenilworth City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Oakengates the free kick. A collision led to Kenilworth City getting a freekick after 43 minutes play. Stu Bowen hit a great ball. Kenilworth City's Trev Radcliffe played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khalid Kaleem in the 46th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Khalid Kaleem in the 47th minute of play forced Kenilworth City's goalkeeper Trev Radcliffe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Kenilworth City. If Abdullah Jamil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 72 minutes into the match, Kenilworth City's goalkeeper Trev Radcliffe had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Khalid Kaleem. 73 minutes into the match, Kenilworth City's goal looked a bit too open when Abdullah Jamil came free, but Trev Radcliffe reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abdullah Jamil in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trev Radcliffe prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jahanzeb Danish showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ronnie Buckley, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. Abdullah Jamil struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Trev Radcliffe didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oakengates. Khalid Kaleem in the 81stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Trev Radcliffe, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Khalid Kaleem received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Trev Radcliffe tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Trev Radcliffe made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abdullah Jamil in the 90th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Abdullah Jamil got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ronnie Buckley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oakengates were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
