The Stroud United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Taimoor Awais should have stopped the shot. Stroud United's Taimoor Awais played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adam Shayan in the 34th minute of play. Zaib Kashif sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Adam Shayan who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 40thth minute tested the skills of Taimoor Awais when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Adam Shayan could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Taimoor Awais made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ali Eehab during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 44 played minutes Newthorpe United got a freekick which was hit by Ali Eehab. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Parvaiz Asif to strike the kick off in the second half. If Zaib Kashif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Taimoor Awais showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adam Shayan in the 55th minute of the match. When Hakim Basharat fell near the penalty area in the 57th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Stroud United's protests and gave Hakim Basharat a yellow card for diving instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Adam Shayan in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Taimoor Awais saved Stroud United from getting behind. Damian Wnukowski showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Parvaiz Asif in the 60th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Adam Shayan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Taimoor Awais was relentless in the 62nd minute of the game. Ali Eehab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Taimoor Awais tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
