The referee gave Witney a penalty, 8 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Wasel Al Hadad, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Margate FC's Mazen Ghadhanfer. 0-1. Fuad Al Muwail fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazen Shabakhoh having to interfere. Qutada Al Mahmed hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Hashem Al Jarah charged in rather forcefully in the 18th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Hashem Al Jarah the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 19th match minute, Margate FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hashem Al Jarah to maneuver through the defense. After 19 played minutes, Witney's Wasel Al Hadad shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mazen Ghadhanfer came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Witney reached it. After a defensive mix-up in Witney's zone, Bandar Al Qattamy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mazen Shabakhoh came out of the goal and Bandar Al Qattamy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Margate FC booed when Witney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Manaf Al Sherazi didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ameen Al Qatam in the 30th minute of play forced Margate FC's goalkeeper Mazen Ghadhanfer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ameen Al Qatam stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Witney would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
