Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ghazi Al Amer in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rajab Al Zamel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Salam Al Hammady was shown his second yellow card after 41 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. Salam Al Hammady hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ameen Al Qatam stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Ameen Al Qatam received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Rajab Al Zamel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Haitham Jiragh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mazen Shabakhoh having to interfere. Mazen Shabakhoh made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Karem Al Khaled sent off a good shot on target. 68 minutes into the match, Royston United's goal looked a bit too open when Ameen Al Qatam came free, but Rajab Al Zamel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Royston United booed when Witney was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lafi Al Rodhan didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ameen Al Qatam in the 74th minute of play forced Royston United's goalkeeper Rajab Al Zamel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Witney's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ameen Al Qatam was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 90 minutes into the game, Qutada Al Mahmed was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Witney's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Royston United the free kick. Qutada Al Mahmed kicked well hit freekick during the 90th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
