Reach AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sadeq Shams was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 10 played minutes Cambridge got a freekick which was hit by Bassam Al Rodhan. If Seraj Al Ali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 14 minutes, Mubarek Shamsah mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cambridge and the Reach AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Mubarek Shamsah hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. Gawhar Al Hadad kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After 19 minutes, Ramadan Al Qatam mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reach AFC and the Cambridge players grew even worse after the yellow card. 21 minutes into the match, Cambridge's Sadeq Shams sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jassem Boland narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 22nd minute, Marzoq Al Khames managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reach AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Marzoq Al Khames was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bashar Al Mansor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Reach AFC booed when Cambridge was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 23 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mubarek Shamsah didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 26 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Cambridge! Jassem Boland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sadeq Shams in the 31st minute of the match. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cambridge's goalkeeper Bashar Al Mansor, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Marzoq Al Khames reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bashar Al Mansor. The goal made the score 2-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Seraj Al Ali got free with Bashar Al Mansor in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sadeq Shams to make the kick off. Sadeq Shams received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Jassem Boland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Ramadan Al Qatam managed to get in a good position for a shot. Reach AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ramadan Al Qatam was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bashar Al Mansor breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sadeq Shams recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Hashem Al Enzi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cambridge's supporters rose to their feet, but Hashem Al Enzi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jassem Boland breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 67 minutes of play, Reach AFC's Marzoq Al Khames made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bashar Al Mansor was left in no man's land by his defense there! After 70 minutes of play Reach AFC's Ramadan Al Qatam was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. After a rather tough play, Reach AFC's Ramadan Al Qatam got a free kick in the 71st minute. After 73 minutes, Seraj Al Ali mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reach AFC and the Cambridge players grew even worse after the yellow card. Seraj Al Ali kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. If Seraj Al Ali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hashem Al Enzi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With his leg Jassem Boland managed to avoid a goal in the 92ndth minute, when Cambridge's Hashem Al Enzi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Jassem Boland showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sadeq Shams in the 94th minute of the match. Marzoq Al Khames hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. If Sadeq Shams had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.
