Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Khalel Al Shaikh made the kick off and thus started the match. After a rather tough play, Tottington FC's Abdul Rahman Al Saleh got a free kick in the 2nd minute. Mosa Al Sherazi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamad Al Rifaee having to interfere. After some careless play in the Tottington FC defense, Khalel Al Shaikh kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Hamad Al Rifaee. The Tottington FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Hamad Al Rifaee should have stopped the shot. In the 9th minute, Mosa Al Sherazi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Khalel Al Shaikh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamad Al Rifaee having to interfere. Khalel Al Shaikh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 18th minute, Newport's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abdulatif Al Ateqi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Abdulatif Al Ateqi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gibrel Al Naqi having to interfere. When Abdulatif Al Ateqi got free in front of the goal in the 21st minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Gibrel Al Naqi was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. After 22 minutes, Mnawer Al Mofede mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Newport and the Tottington FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 28 minutes into the match, Tottington FC's goal looked a bit too open when Khalel Al Shaikh came free, but Hamad Al Rifaee reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tottington FC's Manaf Al Mothaf got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. A collision led to Newport getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Fayez Al Banwan hit a great ball. Abdulatif Al Ateqi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gibrel Al Naqi having to interfere. Meshari Khorshed charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Meshari Khorshed the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 35 played minutes Newport got a freekick which was hit by Meshari Khorshed. Basem Al Saffar hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. Mosa Al Sherazi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamad Al Rifaee having to interfere. Tottington FC's Hamad Al Rifaee played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Khalel Al Shaikh in the 46th minute of play. Khalel Al Shaikh might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hamad Al Rifaee. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Khalel Al Shaikh ran back to his position shaking his head. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Manaf Al Mothaf made the kick off in the second half. Manaf Al Mothaf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Manaf Al Mothaf recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mosa Al Sherazi hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Abdulatif Al Ateqi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gibrel Al Naqi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manaf Al Mothaf, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gibrel Al Naqi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Abdulatif Al Ateqi, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Newport's Khalel Al Shaikh ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Hamad Al Rifaee. Hamad Al Rifaee yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Khalel Al Shaikh in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamad Al Rifaee saved Tottington FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Mosa Al Sherazi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newport's supporters rose to their feet, but Mosa Al Sherazi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamad Al Rifaee breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Newport's Gibrel Al Naqi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manaf Al Mothaf in the 94th minute of play. Gibrel Al Naqi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Manaf Al Mothaf in the 95th minute of the match.
