The audience was convinced that Dawood Kakoli's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Meshari Al Gareb was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. Meshari Al Gareb showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mamon Al Ateqi, who was totally free with the ball in the 14th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ghazi Ghadhanfer in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Firas Al Bloshi saved Rodley AFC from getting behind. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dawood Kakoli to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tariq Al Arbash couldn't finish the play. Rodley AFC's Firas Al Bloshi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ghazi Ghadhanfer in the 59th minute of play. Dawood Kakoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Meshari Al Gareb having to interfere. Mamon Al Ateqi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Dawood Kakoli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Rodley AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Dawood Kakoli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
