The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Sultan Al Arbash hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. After 23 played minutes Ross on Wye AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ameer Al Sarraf. In the 27th minute, Basel Al Dekhel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ameer Al Srae made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hassan Bo Abbas in the 32nd minute of play. Dhari Al Bloshi was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Dhari Shadad showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 40 minute of play. In the 44th minute, Hassan Bo Abbas left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ross on Wye AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The supporters of Ross on Wye AFC booed when Petworth AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Esmael Al Baghli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ameer Al Srae was a little too slow when Hassan Bo Abbas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 85th minute. The score was now 1-2. If Jarah Al Muwail had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jarah Al Muwail kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 97thth minute. Though ot was a great shot Petworth AFC's keeper Ameer Al Srae was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Ross on Wye AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
