The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a rather tough play, Brackley's Jalal Ghadhanfer got a free kick in the 4th minute. Motlaq Al Attar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 19 minutes, Dhari Al Hadad mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Poynton and the Brackley players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hamad Bahbhani in the 47th minute of play forced Poynton's goalkeeper Fakher Bo Qamaz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

In the 53rd minute, Rajab Al Fadhalah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 55th minute, Yasen Shabakhoh hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 92nd minute, Hamad Bahbhani got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Brackley booed when Poynton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Meteb Ghadhanfer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Brackley's Hamad Bahbhani got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
