After 36 played minutes Fawzy Al Sharah could catch the ball where he stood relatively free a bit outside the goal and without hesitation he completed 3-0 into the left cross. Jarah Al Khames fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nader Al Herz having to interfere. Al Jazira Club - UAE's Jamal Sarkhoh came free and shot a quick shot against goal 45 minutes in the game, fortunately Abbas Al Mulaifi had problems saving as it came toward the left post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fawzy Al Sharah in the 47th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abbas Al Mulaifi saved South Woodford United from getting behind. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jarah Al Khames to make the kick off.
