After some fancy dribbling in the 2nd minute, Kirill Penkin managed to get in a good position for a shot. Woolwich AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kirill Penkin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kirill Penkin couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Woolwich AFC's zone, Konstantin Kamyshanskiy stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vladimir Kuzmin came out of the goal and Konstantin Kamyshanskiy tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Woolwich AFC's Vladimir Kuzmin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emmanuil Sadyrin in the 54th minute of play. Vladimir Kuzmin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Konstantin Kamyshanskiy went, in the 55th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Konstantin Kamyshanskiy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Kirill Penkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kirill Penkin got free with Oleg Knyazevskiy in the 78th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Kirill Penkin who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 80thth minute tested the skills of Oleg Knyazevskiy when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Woolwich AFC's Silantiy Gusev got a free kick in the 81st minute. In the 87th minute Emmanuil Sadyrin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vladimir Kuzmin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 89 minutes, Sergey Bilyaletdinov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Woolwich AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sergey Bilyaletdinov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Kirill Penkin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vladimir Kuzmin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Emmanuil Sadyrin in the 96th minute of play. When Kirill Zarubin fell near the penalty area in the 97th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Woolwich AFC's protests and gave Kirill Zarubin a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sunderland booed when Woolwich AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 97 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kirill Zarubin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Despite being the better team, Woolwich AFC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
