Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Norbury's Veniamin Kulabuhov started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 4 minutes of play, Wootton Bassett's Rostislav Titov made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Yakov Sobolev was left in no man's land by his defense there! Yakov Sobolev came out of the goal in the 8th minute to try and stop a shot by Wootton Bassett's Rostislav Titov. But to his dismay, Rostislav Titov quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Wootton Bassett getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Vyacheslav Utyaganov hit a great ball. 13 minutes into the game, Vyacheslav Utyaganov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Wootton Bassett's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Norbury the free kick. After a rather tough play, Wootton Bassett's Vyacheslav Utyaganov got a free kick in the 14th minute. Valentin Gagarin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veniamin Kulabuhov, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anatoliy Gromov in the 18th minute of play forced Norbury's goalkeeper Yakov Sobolev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Veniamin Kulabuhov received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Valentin Gagarin came out and tried to block the shot, but Veniamin Kulabuhov slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 20th minute. If Anatoliy Gromov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Vyacheslav Utyaganov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wootton Bassett's supporters rose to their feet, but Vyacheslav Utyaganov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yakov Sobolev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Veniamin Kulabuhov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Gagarin having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Rostislav Titov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wootton Bassett's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rostislav Titov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute Anatoliy Gromov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Yakov Sobolev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 42 minutes, Anatoliy Gromov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Wootton Bassett's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anatoliy Gromov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rostislav Titov to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Norbury's Dmitriy Medvedev got a free kick in the 54th minute. 58 minutes into the match, Rostislav Titov dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Yakov Sobolev, 1-3. Anatoliy Gromov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yakov Sobolev having to interfere. Yakov Sobolev stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rostislav Titov's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. Yakov Sobolev made an important save on a dangerous shot by Anatoliy Gromov in the 66th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerasim Timonov in the 67th minute of play forced Wootton Bassett's goalkeeper Valentin Gagarin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 69th minute Veniamin Kulabuhov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Gagarin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yakov Sobolev didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Anatoliy Gromov went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. If Anatoliy Gromov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gerasim Timonov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Valentin Gagarin having to make a save. After some fancy dribbling in the 81st minute, Rostislav Titov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Wootton Bassett's supporters rose to their feet, but Rostislav Titov was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Yakov Sobolev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 83 minutes into the match, Anatoliy Gromov had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yakov Sobolev. Norbury's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anatoliy Gromov was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-5. After some careless play in the Wootton Bassett defense, Gerasim Timonov kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Valentin Gagarin. The Wootton Bassett fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Valentin Gagarin should have stopped the shot. Wootton Bassett's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
