In the 13th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ripley AFC's goalkeeper Sergey Galushkin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in North Petherton City's zone, Viktor Zhdanov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonard Gavrilyuk came out of the goal and Viktor Zhdanov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 17th minute Viktor Zhdanov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Gavrilyuk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, North Petherton City's goal looked a bit too open when Viktor Zhdanov came free, but Leonard Gavrilyuk reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Leonard Gavrilyuk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Viktor Zhdanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Viktor Zhdanov in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonard Gavrilyuk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vladimir Voronov who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 24thth minute tested the skills of Sergey Galushkin when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Viktor Zhdanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute Arsen Veniaminov shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leonard Gavrilyuk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute, Arsen Veniaminov made a precise shot to the right of Leonard Gavrilyuk. North Petherton City's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Vladimir Voronov managed to get in a good position for a shot. Arsen Veniaminov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonard Gavrilyuk having to interfere. Valeriy Vlasov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Leonard Gavrilyuk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 76th minute, Vladimir Voronov got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the game, Evgeniy Marusin cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Sergey Galushkin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Vladimir Voronov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute.
