The supporters of Wanborough AFC booed when Ickenham was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Grigoriy Kirillov didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mikhail Kondratiev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petr Kupreev in the 10th minute of play. Valentin Lytkin kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. Petr Kupreev recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Petr Kupreev in the 17th minute of play forced Wanborough AFC's goalkeeper Mikhail Kondratiev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Konstantin Yartsev received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Gennadiy Vorobiev tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrey Nesterov was the one to do the kick off. Gennadiy Vorobiev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Konstantin Yartsev, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. With an all-out effort, Ickenham's Mikhail Kondratiev threw himself towards the right post 75 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Andrey Nesterov, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. The audience was convinced that Konstantin Yartsev's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gennadiy Vorobiev was relentless in the 79th minute of the game.
