The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Roman Adrianov during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 26th minute, Roman Adrianov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 31st minute Pavel Lebedev shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Felix Epenetov saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Konstantin Saveliev sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felix Epenetov showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pavel Lebedev in the 43rd minute of the match. When Ippolit Tsvetkov came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Lutterworth United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ippolit Tsvetkov couldn't finish the play.

The wind increased when Pavel Lebedev made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Pavel Lebedev managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lutterworth United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pavel Lebedev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Frol Filimonov blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Felix Epenetov having to make a save. The crowd rose to their feet as Pavel Lebedev kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Felix Epenetov. That made the score 0-1 in the 55 minute of play. 69 minutes into the match, Lutterworth United's goal looked a bit too open when Artur Smetanin came free, but Artur Kulishov reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pavel Lebedev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felix Epenetov having to interfere. If Kapiton Bozhev had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lutterworth United's supporters rose to their feet, but Pavel Lebedev was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felix Epenetov breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 90th minute, Lutterworth United's Pavel Lebedev dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. When the final whistle sounded Lutterworth United left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than West Bromwich FC.
