The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Stepan Bondarev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timur Gorbachev, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. With a left leg Stepan Bondarev saved Castleford FC from getting behind. Pavel Vetlov hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. Sergey Kukurov's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Vladislav Bondarev firmly grabbed it by the left post. After having played for 32 minutes, Viktor Vampilov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Castleford FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viktor Vampilov was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Vladislav Bondarev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Viktor Vampilov in the 35th minute of play. Chadderton's Vladislav Bondarev proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save Chadderton from getting a goal against them. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mikhail Efimov during the 42nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Castleford FC getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Mikhail Efimov hit a great ball. Matvey Sychev kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Vadim Dedkovskiy might have been able to make a better finish in the 49th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Stepan Bondarev. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Vadim Dedkovskiy ran back to his position shaking his head. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Viktor Vampilov to make the kick off. 54 minutes into the game, Viktor Vampilov cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Vladislav Bondarev was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Arseniy Turov kicked well hit freekick during the 61st minute of the match. Mikhail Timofeev's late challenge caught a Castleford FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 76 minutes, Viktor Vampilov managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Chadderton's supporters crossed their fingers, but Timur Gorbachev was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Thanks to some nice moves Vadim Dedkovskiy could shoot a difficult shot in the 86th minute, which Stepan Bondarev however easily saved by the left post. A collision led to Castleford FC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Matvey Sychev hit a great ball. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Chadderton players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
