Great Staughton City's Artur Kartvelin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ippolit Kolesnikov in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Ebley City's goalkeeper Valeriy Maiskiy had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Stanislav Chetvergov. 17 minutes into the game, Great Staughton City's Stanislav Chetvergov nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Valeriy Maiskiy made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 21st minute, Ippolit Kolesnikov ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Artur Kartvelin was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The supporters of Great Staughton City booed when Ebley City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anatoliy Garanin didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Rafael Horkov fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Great Staughton City's protests and gave Rafael Horkov a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Ebley City booed when Great Staughton City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafael Horkov didn't get a good kick on the ball. 35 minutes into the game, one of Great Staughton City:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Valeriy Maiskiy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vadim Ivanov, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ruben Bairak hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Artur Kartvelin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ippolit Kolesnikov in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Ebley City were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vadim Ivanov to make the kick off. If Vadim Ivanov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Valeriy Maiskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vadim Ivanov in the 54th minute of play. Vladimir Parshin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Stanislav Chetvergov fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valeriy Maiskiy having to interfere. If Stanislav Chetvergov had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Vladimir Parshin came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Ebley City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vladimir Parshin couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Ebley City booed when Great Staughton City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedor Gordon didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Ebley City's zone, Stanislav Chetvergov stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valeriy Maiskiy came out of the goal and Stanislav Chetvergov tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Stanislav Chetvergov received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Valeriy Maiskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ippolit Kolesnikov kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Great Staughton City's goalkeeper Artur Kartvelin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Vladimir Parshin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Artur Kartvelin made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ippolit Kolesnikov in the 89th minute of play. Artur Kartvelin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ippolit Kolesnikov in the 94th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the match, Ebley City's goal looked a bit too open when Stanislav Chetvergov came free, but Valeriy Maiskiy reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ebley City's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
