Southwold FC's Kirill Nikonov got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pahom Valishevskiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrey Chichin in the 25th minute of play. Yaroslav Kunyaev fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pahom Valishevskiy having to interfere. In the 30th minute, Valentin Trirogov hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the match, Uttoxeter AFC's goalkeeper Vasiliy Kanbekov had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kirill Nikonov. 37 minutes into the game, Vladislav Kurshinov was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Uttoxeter AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Southwold FC the free kick. The supporters of Southwold FC booed when Uttoxeter AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pahom Valishevskiy tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pahom Valishevskiy took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sevastyan Erofeev, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Georgiy Shkatyrev fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Southwold FC's protests and gave Georgiy Shkatyrev a yellow card for diving instead.
