Spectators: 39 (Terracing: 30, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Connor Barr made the kick off which started today's match. If Pierre Medley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vern Thornton struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Ian Galloway didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shireoaks FC. After a defensive mix-up in Ilkeston's zone, Vern Thornton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ian Galloway came out of the goal and Vern Thornton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Pierre Medley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Galloway having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Danny Shuttleworth managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ilkeston's supporters rose to their feet, but Danny Shuttleworth was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Damian Price breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Damian Price showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Danny Shuttleworth in the 18th minute of the match. Ian Galloway took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Medley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 25th minute, Connor Barr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The Ilkeston fans' excitement grew in the 26th match minute when Ilkeston's Danny Shuttleworth looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 29th match minute, Shireoaks FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Toby Basham to maneuver through the defense. If Danny Shuttleworth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierre Medley sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ian Galloway showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pierre Medley in the 48th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Pierre Medley made a kick off. After 51 played minutes Shireoaks FC got a freekick which was hit by Darius Bromley. Ilkeston's Connor Barr got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ricky Branson hit a great freekick 54 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Ilkeston's Ozzy Gascoigne tried to score from far away in the 55th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Darius Bromley hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Ozzy Gascoigne, 58 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 60 played minutes Connor Barr rounded Shireoaks FC's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-2. Vern Thornton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ian Galloway having to interfere. Ian Galloway made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vern Thornton in the 74th minute of play. In the 76th minute Connor Barr shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damian Price saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Danny Shuttleworth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Damian Price showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Connor Barr, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 82nd play minutes Connor Barr shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Damian Price and just under the crossbar into goal. 86 minutes into the game, Edward Kitchen was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shireoaks FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ilkeston the free kick. After a rather tough play, Shireoaks FC's Edward Kitchen got a free kick in the 86th minute. Connor Barr received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Damian Price tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pierre Medley scored 1-3 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ian Galloway, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 96th minute, Vern Thornton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ian Galloway was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Ilkeston's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
