Spectators: 41 (Terracing: 32, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Alec Froggatt made the kick off which started today's match. The referee felt a red card was in order, 3 minutes into the game, when Phil Case put in a rough tackle. In a very dangerous position, a player in Herne Bay FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 3rd minute. Penalty! In the 7thth minute of the game Alec Froggatt who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Herne Bay FC's Kristopher Griffiths was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Matty Stonehouse sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alec Froggatt fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristopher Griffiths having to interfere. 12 minutes into the match, Alec Froggatt notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Herne Bay FC's Kristopher Griffiths. Kristopher Griffiths was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 17 minutes in the game, the ball went up into the seats when Kinlet United's Alec Froggatt fired away a shot that was just a little bit too high. He walked away shaking his head. Kristopher Griffiths showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alec Froggatt, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. In the 22nd minute Kinlet United were awarded a corner. Bruce Carpenter went to the cornerflag to take it. The supporters of Kinlet United booed when Herne Bay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Devine didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alec Froggatt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 26th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 28 minutes into the match, Kinlet United's Bruce Carpenter broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 34th minute, Ian Haines got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Matty Stonehouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristopher Griffiths having to interfere. When the match clock showed 40 minutes, the score became 0-2 when Matty Stonehouse sped through Herne Bay FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kristopher Griffiths. Matty Stonehouse fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kristopher Griffiths having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Herne Bay FC's Harry Devine got a free kick in the 46th minute. Bruce Carpenter was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 47th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The Herne Bay FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Kinlet United were winning 0-2.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ian Haines to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Herne Bay FC's zone, Alec Froggatt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kristopher Griffiths came out of the goal and Alec Froggatt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Harry Devine kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alec Froggatt in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Kristopher Griffiths saved Herne Bay FC from getting behind. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sam Askew during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Herne Bay FC getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Sam Askew hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matty Stonehouse got free with Kristopher Griffiths in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Matty Stonehouse had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 66 minutes in the game, Alec Froggatt fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Kristopher Griffiths having to interfere. In the 68th minute of the match Ty Dowrick sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Kristopher Griffiths skillfully saved the ball. When Matty Stonehouse came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Kinlet United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Matty Stonehouse couldn't finish the play. Eddy Mortimer hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Matty Stonehouse struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Kristopher Griffiths didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kinlet United. Alec Froggatt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Kristopher Griffiths tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A hard shot 84 in the game by Matty Stonehouse from a close distance when the talented Kristopher Griffiths managed to make a qualified save. Herne Bay FC's players were relieved. 85 minutes into the match, Herne Bay FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alec Froggatt came free, but Kristopher Griffiths reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kristopher Griffiths stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alec Froggatt's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. The supporters of Kinlet United booed when Herne Bay FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ian Haines didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Herne Bay FC's Kristopher Griffiths got control of the ball when Matty Stonehouse tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kinlet United played a much better game than Herne Bay FC and deserved their victory. The Herne Bay FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
