The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 15 minutes into the match, Wem's Wesley Edgson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sammy Mortimer narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Duncan Rowe struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Sammy Mortimer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wem. Rhys Stone kicked well hit freekick during the 17th minute of the match. Duncan Rowe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Sammy Mortimer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wesley Edgson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sammy Mortimer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Duncan Rowe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wesley Edgson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Sammy Mortimer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Çağrı Bozlak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frankie Waddington having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Wesley Edgson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sammy Mortimer was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. If Duncan Rowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sammy Mortimer showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Duncan Rowe, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. Frankie Waddington made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 尤朋鸿 in the 45th minute of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
After a defensive mix-up in Sleaford's zone, Wesley Edgson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sammy Mortimer came out of the goal and Wesley Edgson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Duncan Rowe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wesley Edgson's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 56thth minute, Sammy Mortimer skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 60th minute, 尤朋鸿 managed to get in a good position for a shot. Sleaford's supporters rose to their feet, but 尤朋鸿 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Frankie Waddington breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 63 minutes into the game, Vinnie Jenkinson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sleaford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Wem the free kick. In the 69th minute, Wesley Edgson got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 71st minute, Wesley Edgson made a precise shot to the right of Sammy Mortimer. Sleaford's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 79th match minute, Sleaford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leo Bertol to maneuver through the defense. Sammy Mortimer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Wesley Edgson went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Sleaford's Çağrı Bozlak got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 尤朋鸿 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Frankie Waddington tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Sleaford supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Wem's performance. The match ended with a win for Wem.
