The audience thought a goal was coming when Glen Beckett got free with Sammy Mortimer in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vinnie Hampton in the 8th minute of play forced Sleaford's goalkeeper Sammy Mortimer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Great Leighs's Kris Lamb was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 22nd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Vinnie Hampton was extremely unlucky when he, in the 28th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 29th minute of the match Nigel Bassett sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sammy Mortimer skillfully saved the ball. Sammy Mortimer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vinnie Hampton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bartlomiej Zecman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Great Leighs's zone, 尤朋鸿 stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Austen Bourton came out of the goal and 尤朋鸿 tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Seth Morcom kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. 尤朋鸿 recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bobby Blower hit a great freekick 47 minutes into the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Vinnie Hampton made the kick off in the second half. When Oliver Moon fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Great Leighs's protests and gave Oliver Moon a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Great Leighs getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Oliver Moon hit a great ball. 尤朋鸿 received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Austen Bourton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glen Beckett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Sammy Mortimer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Vinnie Hampton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 尤朋鸿 fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Austen Bourton having to interfere. When Çağrı Bozlak came up free with the goalie in the 73rd minute, the Sleaford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Çağrı Bozlak couldn't finish the play. If 尤朋鸿 had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 78 minutes, 尤朋鸿 managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sleaford's supporters crossed their fingers, but 尤朋鸿 was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Austen Bourton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Çağrı Bozlak in the 80th minute. Sleaford's 尤朋鸿 got a good chance for a goal in the 83rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Çağrı Bozlak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Austen Bourton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glen Beckett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Sammy Mortimer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Glen Beckett had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sleaford's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Great Leighs had won, even though Sleaford had held more of the ball.
