Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Tomas Illescas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. FERRARI's Cesar Godet played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tomas Illescas in the 4th minute of play. In the 8th minute, FERRARI's Mariano Ibañez ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jonathan Ferrant. Jonathan Ferrant yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 13th minute Luiz Eduardo Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jonathan Ferrant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luiz Eduardo Netto in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jonathan Ferrant prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Tomas Illescas fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Venezuela's protests and gave Tomas Illescas a yellow card for diving instead. Tomas Illescas kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Mariano Ibañez did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 4-0 to the left of a surprised Jonathan Ferrant 20 minutes into the match. Mariano Ibañez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 25th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tomas Illescas in the 27th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cesar Godet prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mariano Ibañez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Jonathan Ferrant made a huge save. Tomas Illescas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mariano Ibañez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathan Ferrant was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mazinho Siqueira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-0 in the 45 minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mariano Ibañez to make the kick off. After having played for 51 minutes, Tomas Illescas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Venezuela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tomas Illescas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Patricio Costa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Cesar Godet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Stan Easton, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomas Illescas might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cesar Godet. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Tomas Illescas ran back to his position shaking his head. Mariano Ibañez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tomas Illescas recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severino Mazza kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Severino Mazza hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Jonathan Ferrant took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luiz Eduardo Netto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cesar Godet made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tomas Illescas in the 77th minute. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by FERRARI's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Tomas Illescas was slow to take the kick. During this time Venezuela's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Venezuela's corner Tomas Illescas fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Cesar Godet quite easily take care of the ball. If Tomas Illescas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Jorge Azevedo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In a very dangerous position, a player in Venezuela fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 91st minute. Penalty! Cesar Godet made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Patricio Costa in the 97th minute of play. Venezuela's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
