Amardit Sethi might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abhinava Virk. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Amardit Sethi ran back to his position shaking his head. Arul Rao charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arul Rao the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Portsmouth getting a freekick after 28 minutes play. Arul Rao hit a great ball. In the 30thth minute of the game Amardit Sethi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Portsmouth's Abhinava Virk was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 30th match minute, Portsmouth was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Krsniya Sikand to maneuver through the defense. After 32 played minutes Portsmouth got a freekick which was hit by Abhranaga Maheshwari. Bimbaka Parmar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cudaratna Holkar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abhinava Virk having to interfere. Abhinava Virk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amardit Sethi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aravinda Nahal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abhranaga Maheshwari in the 63rd minute of play. Cudaratna Holkar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abhinava Virk was out of position in the 70 minute of play, and Amardit Sethi capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Amardit Sethi really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. 75 minutes into the match, Portsmouth's goalkeeper Abhinava Virk had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cudaratna Holkar. In the 78th minute Bimbaka Parmar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aravinda Nahal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 90 minutes, Abhranaga Maheshwari mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portsmouth and the Stamford Bridge players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Portsmouth getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
