East Dulwich's Ashwani Thapa got a good chance for a goal in the 2nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 4 minutes into the match, St.Bees FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jasavanta Bhangu came free, but Bhuvana Mendes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 5 minutes, Avijit Malhotra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. St.Bees FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Avijit Malhotra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 8th minute, Sanjeev Chopra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ashwani Thapa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bhuvana Mendes having to interfere. 14 minutes into the match, Sanjeev Chopra notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of St.Bees FC's Bhuvana Mendes. Bhuvana Mendes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. East Dulwich's Ashwani Thapa got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 18 minutes of play, East Dulwich's Ashwani Thapa made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Bhuvana Mendes was left in no man's land by his defense there! East Dulwich's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Amritaka Kadam in the 24th minute. The corner led East Dulwich's Amritaka Kadam to fire away a dangerous shot which Bhuvana Mendes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ashwani Thapa in the 25th minute of play forced St.Bees FC's goalkeeper Bhuvana Mendes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bhuvana Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ashwani Thapa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 32 minutes, Ashwani Thapa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Dulwich's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ashwani Thapa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Esharveer Dindral kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ashwani Thapa to make the kick off. Bhuvana Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ashwani Thapa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, East Dulwich's Sanjeev Chopra got a free kick in the 56th minute. Avijit Malhotra hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. Bhuvana Mendes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ashwani Thapa in the 65th minute of play. If Ashwani Thapa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 70th minute Ashwani Thapa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bhuvana Mendes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ashwani Thapa struck a weak shot in the 74th minute. Bhuvana Mendes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for East Dulwich. 77 minutes into the match, St.Bees FC's goalkeeper Bhuvana Mendes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sanjeev Chopra. After having played for 79 minutes, Ashwani Thapa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Dulwich's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ashwani Thapa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Sanjeev Chopra cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Bhuvana Mendes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Sanjeev Chopra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Bhuvana Mendes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 91 minutes, Kuppusamy Sohal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the St.Bees FC and the East Dulwich players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for St.Bees FC! Amritaka Kadam walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. East Dulwich's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
