In the 5thth minute of the game Narinder Lell who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Barnes FC's Amarpreet Chakma was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 7th match minute, Warje FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Api Lal to maneuver through the defense. Yadav Dambria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jalanidhi Ghai in the 13th minute of play. Romesh Krishnamurthy hit a great freekick 14 minutes into the match. In the 16th minute, Jalanidhi Ghai made a precise shot to the right of Yadav Dambria. Warje FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when Narinder Lell got free with Amarpreet Chakma in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 24 minutes into the match, Warje FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gurumukha Bassi came free, but Yadav Dambria reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Barnes FC's zone, Naginderpal Paranjpe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amarpreet Chakma came out of the goal and Naginderpal Paranjpe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Amarpreet Chakma made an important save on a dangerous shot by Romesh Krishnamurthy in the 28th minute. Barnes FC's Amarpreet Chakma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romesh Krishnamurthy in the 30th minute of play. When Naginderpal Paranjpe came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Warje FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Naginderpal Paranjpe couldn't finish the play. 34 minutes into the game, Abhasvara Vishwakarma was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barnes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Warje FC the free kick. Abhasvara Vishwakarma hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. If Narinder Lell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Romesh Krishnamurthy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amarpreet Chakma having to interfere. Warje FC's Gurumurti Sangma got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Durba Kohli was the one to do the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Romesh Krishnamurthy in the 52nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Amarpreet Chakma prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 56 minutes into the game, Jalanidhi Ghai was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barnes FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Warje FC the free kick. Jalanidhi Ghai kicked well hit freekick during the 56th minute of the match. Amarpreet Chakma made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Naginderpal Paranjpe in the 58th minute of play. Gurumurti Sangma struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Amarpreet Chakma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Warje FC. In the 62nd minute Naginderpal Paranjpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amarpreet Chakma saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 64th minute, Divyadeha Lyngdoh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Warje FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Divyadeha Lyngdoh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amarpreet Chakma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amarpreet Chakma showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Narinder Lell in the 65th minute of the match. Gurumurti Sangma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Barnes FC getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Hansini Kasal hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Barnes FC's zone, Naginderpal Paranjpe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amarpreet Chakma came out of the goal and Naginderpal Paranjpe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Romesh Krishnamurthy in the 71st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Amarpreet Chakma saved Barnes FC from getting behind. Amarpreet Chakma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gurumurti Sangma, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. If Naginderpal Paranjpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Gurumurti Sangma came up free with the goalie in the 80th minute, the Warje FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gurumurti Sangma couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Warje FC booed when Barnes FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Durba Kohli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Naginderpal Paranjpe struck a weak shot in the 91st minute. Amarpreet Chakma didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Warje FC. There was no doubt that Warje FC were the better team. Warje FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
