Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) 8 minutes into the match, Walsall's goalkeeper Gobind Sekhon had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dileep Uppal. 10 minutes into the game, Walsall's Candramohan Sabnis nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Amitosa Chawla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Candramohan Sabnis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th match minute, Poulton-Le-Fylde City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bipin Mohan to maneuver through the defense. Amitosa Chawla didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Candramohan Sabnis went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Amitosa Chawla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Raghbir Fernandes in the 30th minute of the match. After 33 played minutes Poulton-Le-Fylde City got a freekick which was hit by Navin Jagur. After a rather tough play, Poulton-Le-Fylde City's Swaran Sen got a free kick in the 38th minute. Amitosa Chawla came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Walsall's Candramohan Sabnis. But to his dismay, Candramohan Sabnis quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-4. If Raghbir Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Kavibhusana Chana was the one to do the kick off. Kavibhusana Chana scored 2-4 in the 57th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Gobind Sekhon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Gobind Sekhon came out of the goal in the 60th minute to try and stop a shot by Poulton-Le-Fylde City's Kavibhusana Chana. But to his dismay, Kavibhusana Chana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-4. Gobind Sekhon took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kavibhusana Chana, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Walsall's zone, Kavibhusana Chana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gobind Sekhon came out of the goal and Kavibhusana Chana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Kavibhusana Chana's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gobind Sekhon was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. In the 85th minute Walsall were awarded a corner. Karnamukha Lalli went to the cornerflag to take it. 86 minutes into the match, Kavibhusana Chana had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gobind Sekhon. Walsall's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kavibhusana Chana was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-4. After 94 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Walsall! Paresh Chawla took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 96th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gobind Sekhon. Walsall's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Walsall's Gobind Sekhon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kavibhusana Chana in the 99th minute of play. Raghbir Fernandes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 100th minute. Amitosa Chawla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
