The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adhira Fernandes during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ekagra Agarwal, 4 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. In the 7th minute, Kisni Tur hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Indraghosa Vaidya was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The supporters of Edgware booed when Newbold Verdon City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agnisri Thind didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Agnibhuti Desai in the 14th minute of play forced Edgware's goalkeeper Akhanda Multani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 21st match minute, Newbold Verdon City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gulloo Dwivedi to maneuver through the defense. Kumar Tjinder fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rahul Pal having to interfere. Arati Matharu charged in rather forcefully in the 23rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arati Matharu the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Newbold Verdon City booed when Edgware was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arati Matharu didn't get a good kick on the ball. Newbold Verdon City's Rahul Pal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kumar Tjinder in the 27th minute of play. After 28 played minutes Newbold Verdon City got a freekick which was hit by Kisni Tur. 30 minutes into the match, Newbold Verdon City's goal looked a bit too open when Kumar Tjinder came free, but Rahul Pal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Edgware fans' excitement grew in the 31st match minute when Edgware's Avagaha Vaidya looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 36 minutes into the match, Avagaha Vaidya had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Rahul Pal. Newbold Verdon City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Avagaha Vaidya was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Rahul Pal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ananda Dua in the 42nd minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Agnibhuti Desai made a kick off. Rahul Pal was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Kumar Tjinder capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kumar Tjinder really showed his touch with that goal: 0-3. A collision led to Edgware getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Ananda Dua hit a great ball. Edgware's Ananda Dua got his second yellow card of the match in the 64th minute. The referee ordered Ananda Dua off the ground. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Agnibhuti Desai in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Akhanda Multani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Kathita Gurai blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Akhanda Multani having to make a save. After a defensive mix-up in Edgware's zone, Kathita Gurai stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Akhanda Multani came out of the goal and Kathita Gurai tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 77th minute, one of Edgware:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Edgware. In the 83rd play minute Avagaha Vaidya came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Rahul Pal. 1-4. 93 minutes into the game, Indraghosa Vaidya was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Edgware's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Newbold Verdon City the free kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Agnibhuti Desai managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newbold Verdon City's supporters rose to their feet, but Agnibhuti Desai was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Akhanda Multani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Akhanda Multani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kathita Gurai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Edgware players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
