Adhiratha Vurghese made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bahurja Linyu in the 6th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Handsworth's goalkeeper Carusara Chahal had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sarabjot Rao. In the 13th minute, Prafel Chattha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ksonideva Rai hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Adhiratha Vurghese showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bahurja Linyu in the 33rd minute of the match. Aldeburgh's Sarabjot Rao got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bahurja Linyu in the 39th minute of play forced Aldeburgh's goalkeeper Adhiratha Vurghese to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bahurja Linyu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhiratha Vurghese having to interfere. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

If Bahurja Linyu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sarabjot Rao fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carusara Chahal having to interfere. Rangpreet Pujari received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Carusara Chahal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Handsworth supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Handsworth would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
