Palla Dias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sarabjot Rao in the 14th minute of the match. After having played for 15 minutes, Rangpreet Pujari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aldeburgh's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rangpreet Pujari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rangpreet Pujari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Prafel Chattha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Palla Dias tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hexham FC's zone, Sarabjot Rao stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Palla Dias came out of the goal and Sarabjot Rao tried to chip the ball over his head. Rangpreet Pujari ran back to his position shaking his head. 46 minutes into the game, Aldeburgh's Sarabjot Rao nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Palla Dias made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gurdaya Virdee stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 52 minutes, Sarabjot Rao managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. When Rangpreet Pujari fell near the penalty area in the 53rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aldeburgh's protests and gave Rangpreet Pujari a yellow card for diving instead. Adhiratha Vurghese showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Athilesa Kadam, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Gurdaya Virdee might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adhiratha Vurghese. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out.
