Jayashree Sokhey showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Jagan Khongstid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Fordham's goalkeeper Nayan Nahal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 23 minutes into the match, Fordham's goal looked a bit too open when Jagan Khongstid came free, but Nayan Nahal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mukhtair More charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mukhtair More the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Crayford United getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Mukhtair More hit a great ball. In the 37thth minute of the game Jagan Khongstid who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fordham's Nayan Nahal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Srinivas Thind fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nayan Nahal having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Srinivas Thind in the 42nd minute of play forced Fordham's goalkeeper Nayan Nahal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jayashree Sokhey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Fordham's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Chunda Chamling in the 56th minute. 66 minutes into the match, Fordham's goal looked a bit too open when Srinivas Thind came free, but Nayan Nahal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Fordham's zone, Jagan Khongstid stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nayan Nahal came out of the goal and Jagan Khongstid tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 70 minutes, Srinivas Thind took a quick shot and it went in 2-1 without a chance for Nayan Nahal to make any attempt to save it. 73 minutes into the match, Fordham's goal looked a bit too open when Srinivas Thind came free, but Nayan Nahal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nayan Nahal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Srinivas Thind's shot from short distance in the 75th minute. Jyotibhasin Tur hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Bhalachandra Upadhyay received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Brajamani Manjrekar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jayashree Sokhey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Srinivas Thind fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nayan Nahal having to interfere.
