Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Tiverton's Barhaketu Beasley started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Gunadhara Nijjar kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janardan Tamang in the 6th minute of play forced Tiverton's goalkeeper Pururavas Ganguly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Dilip Nayyar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pururavas Ganguly stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anandaprada Nagra's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. After 15 minutes, Anandaprada Nagra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Middlesbrough United and the Tiverton players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Tiverton booed when Middlesbrough United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anandaprada Nagra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jagatjiva Varma fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sultan Laungani having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tiverton's Santu Dhotre got a free kick in the 23rd minute. 28 minutes into the match, Middlesbrough United's goal looked a bit too open when Jagatjiva Varma came free, but Sultan Laungani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jagatjiva Varma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Janardan Tamang fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pururavas Ganguly having to interfere. Adhisvara Shukla took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Pururavas Ganguly. Pururavas Ganguly dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 41 minutes into the game, Tiverton's Barhaketu Beasley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sultan Laungani made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. After 44 minutes, Santu Dhotre mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tiverton and the Middlesbrough United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 44 played minutes Tiverton got a freekick which was hit by Santu Dhotre. An unexpectedly hard shot by Janardan Tamang in the 46th minute of play forced Tiverton's goalkeeper Pururavas Ganguly to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Janardan Tamang to make the kick off. In the 56th minute Barhaketu Beasley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sultan Laungani saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tiverton's Barhaketu Beasley got a good chance for a goal in the 62nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 63 played minutes Middlesbrough United got a freekick which was hit by Angaraka Sohal. Sultan Laungani made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jagatjiva Varma in the 64th minute. Janardan Tamang recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Sultan Laungani made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Jagatjiva Varma sent off a good shot on target. In a very dangerous position, a player in Middlesbrough United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 73rd minute. Penalty! In the 75th minute of the game, Tiverton got a penalty. The shot went straight in by the left post. When Ananthakrishnan Sahota fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tiverton's protests and gave Ananthakrishnan Sahota a yellow card for diving instead. Ananthakrishnan Sahota hit a great freekick 79 minutes into the match. Adhisvara Shukla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Pururavas Ganguly tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Adhisvara Shukla came up free with the goalie in the 83rd minute, the Middlesbrough United fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adhisvara Shukla couldn't finish the play. If Janardan Tamang had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Janardan Tamang left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Middlesbrough United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. In the 94th minute Janardan Tamang shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pururavas Ganguly saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Akrida Cheema fell near the penalty area in the 95th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Middlesbrough United's protests and gave Akrida Cheema a yellow card for diving instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
