Charandev Agrawal took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Haranetra Batra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kalskandha Girgla in the 7th minute of play forced Hove's goalkeeper Abhinanda Beasley to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cuddington's Kalskandha Girgla got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cuddington's Charandev Agrawal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Cuddington from getting a goal against them. Kalskandha Girgla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Abhinanda Beasley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cuddington's Charandev Agrawal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diptatapas Talib in the 21st minute of play. The supporters of Cuddington booed when Hove was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amava Biswas didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 24 played minutes Hove's Amava Biswas stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Charandev Agrawal stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Cuddington of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Cuddington's zone, Amava Biswas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. When Haranetra Batra came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Hove fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Haranetra Batra couldn't finish the play. Hove's Haranetra Batra got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 35th minute, Kalskandha Girgla hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jagadish Khahera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Haranetra Batra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Charandev Agrawal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the match, Amava Biswas notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Cuddington's Charandev Agrawal. Charandev Agrawal was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Kalskandha Girgla to make the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Karavinda Naidu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After recieving a nice pass, Hove's Jaguri Ganguly tried to score from far away in the 53rd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 57 played minutes, Hove's Jaguri Ganguly shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Charandev Agrawal came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Hove reached it. Haranetra Batra scored 2-0 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Charandev Agrawal, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Amava Biswas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 67 minutes into the match, Hove's Amava Biswas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Charandev Agrawal narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 69th minute Amava Biswas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Charandev Agrawal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Haranetra Batra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 76 minutes of play, Hove's Haranetra Batra made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Charandev Agrawal was left in no man's land by his defense there! Kalskandha Girgla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Abhinanda Beasley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Charandev Agrawal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Haranetra Batra in the 83rd minute of play. If Amava Biswas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 97 minutes into the match, Bhumisvara Banga had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Charandev Agrawal. Cuddington's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bhumisvara Banga was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cuddington players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Hove.
