Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kalakuta Sen started the match with the kick off. After 4 played minutes Hacconby got a freekick which was hit by Devasakha Banerjee. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Katumbi Mahalingappa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newcastle-under-Lyme's supporters rose to their feet, but Katumbi Mahalingappa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dilmohan Chhugani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dilmohan Chhugani took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kumaran Pradhan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 11 minutes, Katumbi Mahalingappa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newcastle-under-Lyme's supporters crossed their fingers, but Katumbi Mahalingappa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 14 minutes into the match, Newcastle-under-Lyme's goal looked a bit too open when Kalakuta Sen came free, but Abhasvara Mondol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abhasvara Mondol showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kalakuta Sen in the 22nd minute of the match. Abhasvara Mondol made an important save on a dangerous shot by Adisesan Ojha in the 24th minute. If Gautam Rattu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With 34 minutes on the clock, Asrava Srivastava commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After 34 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Newcastle-under-Lyme! The goalkeeper, Abhasvara Mondol, was totally fooled by Hacconby's Devasakha Banerjee, who 36 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. A hard shot by Hem Padda from long distance, 46 minutes into the match, got Abhasvara Mondol's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Hem Padda took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Abhasvara Mondol. Newcastle-under-Lyme's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.
Katumbi Mahalingappa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dilmohan Chhugani having to make a save. The supporters of Newcastle-under-Lyme booed when Hacconby was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dharmavarna Dango didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adisesan Ojha in the 61st minute of play forced Newcastle-under-Lyme's goalkeeper Abhasvara Mondol to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hacconby's Dilmohan Chhugani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save Hacconby from getting a goal against them. 73 minutes into the match, Newcastle-under-Lyme's goal looked a bit too open when Adisesan Ojha came free, but Abhasvara Mondol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute of the match Devasakha Banerjee sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abhasvara Mondol skillfully saved the ball. If Kalakuta Sen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Newcastle-under-Lyme's Katumbi Mahalingappa ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Dilmohan Chhugani. Dilmohan Chhugani yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. In the 95th minute, Kumaran Pradhan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dilmohan Chhugani was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-4. Newcastle-under-Lyme's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
