An unexpectedly hard shot by Harbajan Jagur in the 8th minute of play forced Northampton AFC's goalkeeper Asvalarana Nijjar to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Hiralal Kale was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chester-le-Street AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Northampton AFC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Chester-le-Street AFC's Hiralal Kale got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 13th minute, Cikita Bhave left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Chester-le-Street AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. If Cikita Bhave had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Harbajan Jagur came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Chester-le-Street AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Harbajan Jagur couldn't finish the play. Harbajan Jagur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Asvalarana Nijjar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Anuradha Aujla scored 0-3 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Asvalarana Nijjar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Asvalarana Nijjar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harbajan Jagur, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 37 minutes into the match, Harbajan Jagur notched a goal, 0-4, to the right of Northampton AFC's Asvalarana Nijjar. Asvalarana Nijjar was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Chester-le-Street AFC's Harbajan Jagur got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Asvalarana Nijjar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cikita Bhave in the 41st minute of play. In the 43rd minute, Cikita Bhave got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Northampton AFC's Asvalarana Nijjar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harbajan Jagur in the 45th minute of play. Harbajan Jagur fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Asvalarana Nijjar having to interfere.

The wind increased when Harbajan Jagur made the kick off in the second half. Northampton AFC's Asvalarana Nijjar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Northampton AFC from getting a goal against them. Asvalarana Nijjar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Harbajan Jagur showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 54 minute of play. In the 57th minute, Harbajan Jagur fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The supporters of Northampton AFC booed when Chester-le-Street AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 63 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hiralal Kale didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 65 minutes, Harbajan Jagur took a quick shot and it went in 0-7 without a chance for Asvalarana Nijjar to make any attempt to save it. Asvalarana Nijjar was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Harbajan Jagur showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-8 in the 68 minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Northampton AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 71st minute. Penalty! Asvalarana Nijjar made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harbajan Jagur in the 79th minute of play. Asvalarana Nijjar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Harbajan Jagur struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Asvalarana Nijjar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Chester-le-Street AFC. Cikita Bhave sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Cikita Bhave blasted a shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Asvalarana Nijjar having to make a save. 96 minutes into the match, Northampton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Harbajan Jagur came free, but Asvalarana Nijjar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match was over Chester-le-Street AFC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Northampton AFC throughout the match.
