Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Prakash Singh made the kick off and thus started the match. Devanucara Barmi kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ambhrna Sahota got free with Gharbharan Raj in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dharmasindhu Chhugani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gharbharan Raj having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Janistha Malhi in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abhisri Mann saved Knottingley City from getting behind. When Ambhrna Sahota came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Knottingley City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ambhrna Sahota couldn't finish the play. Sikander Srivastava hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Janistha Malhi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Newbold Verdon City's supporters rose to their feet, but Janistha Malhi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abhisri Mann breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 34 played minutes Newbold Verdon City got a freekick which was hit by Narottam Baweja. A hard, long distance shot from Candrin Kharka flew over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Knottingley City's zone, Prakash Singh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abhisri Mann came out of the goal and Prakash Singh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dharmasindhu Chhugani to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Knottingley City's Ambhrna Sahota sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Gharbharan Raj narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dharmasindhu Chhugani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gharbharan Raj tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Badarisaila Saha's late challenge caught a Knottingley City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Badarisaila Saha helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Newbold Verdon City's Badarisaila Saha got a free kick in the 56th minute. In the 57th minute Dharmasindhu Chhugani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gharbharan Raj saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Newbold Verdon City's Gharbharan Raj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dharmasindhu Chhugani in the 67th minute of play. 68 minutes into the game, Premchand Solanki was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Newbold Verdon City's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Knottingley City the free kick. After a rather tough play, Newbold Verdon City's Premchand Solanki got a free kick in the 68th minute. The audience was convinced that Dharmasindhu Chhugani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gharbharan Raj was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. In the 73rd minute, Sikander Srivastava hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 played minutes Newbold Verdon City got a freekick which was hit by Narottam Baweja. In the 79th minute, Newbold Verdon City's Sikander Srivastava ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Abhisri Mann. Abhisri Mann yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Gharbharan Raj showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ambhrna Sahota, who was totally free with the ball in the 84th minute. Gharbharan Raj came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Knottingley City's Dharmasindhu Chhugani. But to his dismay, Dharmasindhu Chhugani quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
