Dhaval Chawla made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ram Dwivedi in the 4th minute of play. Devya Rathod took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ambupati Ahluwalia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 8th minute, Ram Dwivedi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. A collision led to Purfleet getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Amahiyu Bhave hit a great ball. Ram Dwivedi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Dhaval Chawla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gopichandra Lalthangsanga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. After a rather tough play, Lutterworth FC's Amitosa Sekhon got a free kick in the 21st minute. 22 minutes in the game, Aviratha Tjinder dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. The supporters of Purfleet booed when Lutterworth FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amitosa Sekhon didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Lutterworth FC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Rohan Chaddha hit a great ball. Aviratha Tjinder's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Devya Rathod read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. If Gopichandra Lalthangsanga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ram Dwivedi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd minute, Gopichandra Lalthangsanga made a precise shot to the right of Dhaval Chawla. Purfleet's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. When Gurdip Kapani fell near the penalty area in the 48th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Purfleet's protests and gave Gurdip Kapani a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Purfleet's Gurdip Kapani got a free kick in the 48th minute. 50 minutes into the game, Lutterworth FC's Gopichandra Lalthangsanga nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dhaval Chawla made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ambupati Ahluwalia was the one to do the kick off. Dhaval Chawla made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ram Dwivedi in the 57th minute. After a rather tough play, Purfleet's Janaswami Bawa got a free kick in the 59th minute. 63 minutes into the match, Lutterworth FC's Gopichandra Lalthangsanga sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dhaval Chawla narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ahirbudhnya Turkar kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Aviratha Tjinder's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Devya Rathod was relentless in the 71st minute of the game. Devya Rathod made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aviratha Tjinder in the 72nd minute of play. In the 73rd minute, Ambupati Ahluwalia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Purfleet fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Aviratha Tjinder took the ball and in the 85 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Devya Rathod. Devya Rathod dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-2. Gopichandra Lalthangsanga recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 93 minutes into the match, Gopichandra Lalthangsanga dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Dhaval Chawla, 2-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Aviratha Tjinder in the 97th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Devya Rathod prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amitosa Sekhon was shown his second yellow card after 99 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Lutterworth FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
