Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anynaga Sahni in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Cidvilasa Bhachu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Amarnath Phom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balachandar Sutantar in the 5th minute of play. If Balachandar Sutantar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 10 minutes into the match, Bognor Regis's goal looked a bit too open when Devapuspa Malhotra came free, but Cidvilasa Bhachu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Kusumakar Sagoo fell near the penalty area in the 10th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bognor Regis's protests and gave Kusumakar Sagoo a yellow card for diving instead. Devapuspa Malhotra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 12th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amarnath Phom took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Balachandar Sutantar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amarnath Phom stood somewhat misplaced when Balachandar Sutantar came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 16 minute. Amarnath Phom made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Balachandar Sutantar in the 19th minute of play. Hiranyina Sekhon hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Bognor Regis's Gobind Manjrekar tried to score from far away in the 22nd minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Kalmali Sahni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amarnath Phom having to interfere. Gobind Manjrekar, 27 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. After 33 played minutes, Heston's Asula Krishnamurthy shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cidvilasa Bhachu came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Heston reached it. Cidvilasa Bhachu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anynaga Sahni in the 35th minute of play. 37 minutes into the match, Bognor Regis's goal looked a bit too open when Anynaga Sahni came free, but Cidvilasa Bhachu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Balachandar Sutantar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Heston's Amarnath Phom proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Heston from getting a goal against them. In the 43rd minute, Anynaga Sahni ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cidvilasa Bhachu was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anynaga Sahni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Babhrukesa Prasad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amarnath Phom read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 52nd minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anynaga Sahni in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. When Heston's Anynaga Sahni in the 56th minute got a chance for a shot 56th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Bognor Regis's goalie prevented a goal. Devapuspa Malhotra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Cidvilasa Bhachu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 66th minute Balachandar Sutantar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amarnath Phom saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amarnath Phom showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kalmali Sahni, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Balachandar Sutantar managed to get in a good position for a shot. Bognor Regis's supporters rose to their feet, but Balachandar Sutantar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amarnath Phom breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Heston getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Jawahara Marathe hit a great ball. Anynaga Sahni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 76 minutes into the match, Bognor Regis's goalkeeper Cidvilasa Bhachu had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Devapuspa Malhotra. Amarnath Phom was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Heston booed when Bognor Regis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jatinder Bassi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 91 minutes into the match, Heston's Avinasa Gupta broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Bognor Regis's zone, Devapuspa Malhotra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cidvilasa Bhachu came out of the goal and Devapuspa Malhotra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cidvilasa Bhachu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anynaga Sahni in the 97th minute of the match. Bognor Regis's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
