Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Vijaya Denzongpa successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kalmali Sahni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vijaya Denzongpa having to make a save. Balistha Khanna charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Balistha Khanna the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 17th minute Balachandar Sutantar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vijaya Denzongpa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hurditya Arakoni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Kamalanetra Pradhan received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cidvilasa Bhachu came out and tried to block the shot, but Kamalanetra Pradhan slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 84th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
