Deepti Lyngdoh hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Clayton-le-Moors AFC's Tara Chaturvedi got a free kick in the 10th minute. Kusalin Badyal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ravichandran Dua having to interfere. After 20 played minutes Maldon AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rajinderjeet Mathur. Atish Theunuo might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ravichandran Dua. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Atish Theunuo ran back to his position shaking his head. Abhipuspa Ghuman hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Maldon AFC's Atisa Lyngdoh couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 25th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Clayton-le-Moors AFC. After having played for 27 minutes, Atish Theunuo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Clayton-le-Moors AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Atish Theunuo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Kavita Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Deepti Lyngdoh was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 36 minutes had been played. Deepti Lyngdoh hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. If Atish Theunuo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tara Chaturvedi was shown his second yellow card after 45 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. A collision led to Clayton-le-Moors AFC getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Tara Chaturvedi hit a great ball. Maldon AFC were awarded a corner in the 50th minute after Clayton-le-Moors AFC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Atisa Lyngdoh took the corner. The Clayton-le-Moors AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Maldon AFC were winning 0-1.

A collision led to Maldon AFC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Asitotpala Rai hit a great ball. Ravichandran Dua took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kusalin Badyal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kharag Mansukhani kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Atish Theunuo hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. In the 76th minute, Kavita Mendes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Krishanin Khanna was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Amanroop Chopra hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. In the 96th minute of the game, Rajinderjeet Mathur landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Abhipuspa Ghuman's late challenge caught a Maldon AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Abhipuspa Ghuman helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Clayton-le-Moors AFC getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Abhipuspa Ghuman hit a great ball. The Clayton-le-Moors AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Maldon AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Maldon AFC.
