Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Ramkrishna Bisla started the match with the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ishwaran Krishnan during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Adesa Sarang showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kalwindar Diyali in the 9th minute of the match. Adesa Sarang stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Anudvega Rattu's shot from short distance in the 10th minute. A collision led to Newton Abbot FC getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Rajwant Reddy hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Astavakra Malhi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute, Devapada Pal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 18 minutes into the match, Clanfield's Devya Modi broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Janapadin Brar could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Agnira Heer made a huge save. When Clanfield's Aseem Dosanjh in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newton Abbot FC's goalie prevented a goal. Ramkrishna Bisla received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Adesa Sarang tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Newton Abbot FC's zone, Aseem Dosanjh stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Agnira Heer came out of the goal and Aseem Dosanjh tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aseem Dosanjh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 43rd match minute, Newton Abbot FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Astavakra Malhi to maneuver through the defense. When Janapadin Brar came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Clanfield fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Janapadin Brar couldn't finish the play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Aseem Dosanjh to strike the kick off in the second half. Janapadin Brar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Agnira Heer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Janapadin Brar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Ramkrishna Bisla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Janapadin Brar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Agnira Heer having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Aseem Dosanjh's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Agnira Heer was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. When Clanfield's Aseem Dosanjh in the 67th minute got a chance for a shot 67th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newton Abbot FC's goalie prevented a goal. Atisena Som charged in rather forcefully in the 73rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Atisena Som the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Atisena Som hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Aseem Dosanjh received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Agnira Heer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Agnira Heer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Janapadin Brar went, in the 77th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Kalwindar Diyali's late challenge caught a Clanfield's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kalwindar Diyali helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Newton Abbot FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Kalwindar Diyali hit a great ball. Clanfield's Aseem Dosanjh got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Janapadin Brar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Aseem Dosanjh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Agnira Heer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Janapadin Brar in the 97th minute of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Newton Abbot FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Clanfield.
