Gopakumar Barn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Golap Krishnan, who was totally free with the ball in the 8th minute. Devidasa Janda made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Harpinder Basrai in the 11th minute of play. 15 minutes into the game, one of Redhill FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 17 minutes, Elsdon's Kataka Chattophadhyay got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Devidasa Janda. The audience was convinced that Guruswamy Heer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gopakumar Barn was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. When Golap Krishnan came up free with the goalie in the 33rd minute, the Redhill FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Golap Krishnan couldn't finish the play. Gopakumar Barn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guruswamy Heer, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 44 minutes into the match, Redhill FC's goal looked a bit too open when Harpinder Basrai came free, but Devidasa Janda reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Golap Krishnan fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gopakumar Barn having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Kataka Chattophadhyay hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Harpinder Basrai made a kick off. When Venkatesh Samra fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Elsdon's protests and gave Venkatesh Samra a yellow card for diving instead. After 79 played minutes Golap Krishnan rounded Elsdon's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-2. In the 83rd play minute Guruswamy Heer came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Gopakumar Barn. 1-3. The audience was convinced that Golap Krishnan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Gopakumar Barn was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Redhill FC's Devidasa Janda played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Harpinder Basrai in the 93rd minute of play. Redhill FC's Golap Krishnan got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Devidasa Janda took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Harpinder Basrai, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Golap Krishnan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 101st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Redhill FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
