Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Vidyahar Mahmi started the match with the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Aparimita Lell managed to get in a good position for a shot. Appleshaw's supporters rose to their feet, but Aparimita Lell was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nanda Moktan breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Appleshaw booed when Halesowen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harnek Sahu didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 8 minutes, Vidyahar Mahmi put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Nanda Moktan. In the 11th minute Aparimita Lell shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nanda Moktan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Harnek Sahu kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. If Aparimita Lell had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Halesowen's Nanda Moktan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vidyahar Mahmi in the 16th minute of play. If Anasaya Ragi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Anasaya Ragi came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Halesowen fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anasaya Ragi couldn't finish the play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Harnek Sahu during the 27th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Harnek Sahu hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute, Krsnakanta Randhawa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nanda Moktan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vidyahar Mahmi in the 34th minute of the match. Krsnakanta Randhawa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krsnakanta Randhawa in the 40th minute of play forced Halesowen's goalkeeper Nanda Moktan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aparimita Lell received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Nanda Moktan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Devapuspa Barmi fell near the penalty area in the 46th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Halesowen's protests and gave Devapuspa Barmi a yellow card for diving instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Ajasra Pal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anasaya Ragi, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. 54 minutes into the game, Aparimita Lell recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nanda Moktan. Aparimita Lell showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Karan Powar during the 59th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in Appleshaw's zone, Anasaya Ragi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ajasra Pal came out of the goal and Anasaya Ragi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aparimita Lell might have been able to make a better finish in the 69th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Nanda Moktan. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aparimita Lell ran back to his position shaking his head. Anasaya Ragi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 89 minutes, Ravindra Lal put it in 1-3 from a short distance just to the right of Ajasra Pal. If Anasaya Ragi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Appleshaw eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
