The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Nardev Salve kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Gharcheen Dubey showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anandin Sangha in the 10th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Old Bexley's goal looked a bit too open when Amod Kulkarni came free, but Jatinder Rai reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anandin Sangha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 17th minute Amod Kulkarni shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jatinder Rai saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Balram Verma got his second yellow card in the match during the 18th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 20 played minutes Epsom got a freekick which was hit by Balram Verma. Aryasura Shergill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Jatinder Rai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 25 played minutes Old Bexley got a freekick which was hit by Deochand Arora. In the 30th minute, Aryasura Shergill fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jatinder Rai, passed just outside the right post. Jatinder Rai showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amod Kulkarni, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. If Aryasura Shergill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aryasura Shergill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jatinder Rai having to interfere. Ketutra Malhi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jatinder Rai having to interfere. Aryasura Shergill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Jatinder Rai tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Brahmasiras Sidhu during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Brahmasiras Sidhu hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. An unexpected shot in the 65th minute by Amritvaani Vurghese got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After 68 minutes, Anandin Sangha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Old Bexley and the Epsom players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 69th match minute, Old Bexley was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anandin Sangha to maneuver through the defense. Raghavachary Chohan's late challenge caught a Epsom's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Raghavachary Chohan helped the player get up and apologised. After 72 played minutes Old Bexley got a freekick which was hit by Raghavachary Chohan. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Aryasura Shergill managed to get in a good position for a shot. Epsom's supporters rose to their feet, but Aryasura Shergill was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jatinder Rai breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Epsom's Aryasura Shergill got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Epsom booed when Old Bexley was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 85 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anandin Sangha didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 88th minute, Aryasura Shergill got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Nardev Salve struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Jatinder Rai didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Epsom. For all the effort they put into the match, the Old Bexley players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Epsom.
